Pulchri Studio - Autumn Salon 2026

The Autumn Salon will take place in the large halls of Pulchri Studio from September 26 to October 18. An enormous variety of work is on display and for sale in this group exhibition of artist members. You are cordially invited to the opening or to drop by sometime in the period thereafter.

I will be showing two works from my series Preserved. Works that are 'rooted' in the period spanning from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. For these still lifes, I was guided by the melancholic atmosphere in the books of Couperus, my childhood memories of the Archipelbuurt in The Hague, and specifically by two paintings by Breitner and Floris Verster.
