Springtime threads
Daffodils, anemones and blossoms emerge as fresh harbingers of spring, stretched on fine threads against the earthy glow of warm sienna. Their symbolism of awakening, longing and new life echoes ancient spring rituals. The daffodil evokes the ancient myth of Narcissus, in which desire is directed towards an image that always remains just out of reach. Springtime threads captures a moment of upward momentum that is at once fragile and charged.
The work consists of two panels, each comprising a photographic print on mesh fabric stretched over a wooden frame, with a fine art UV print on Dibond behind it, mounted in a wooden box frame.
