Traces du céleste
A series of panels created by the French painter Odilon Redon in 1900-1901, featuring loose flowers and branches that seem to float in a vacuum, served as the inspiration for this triptych. Redon's almost weightless compositions and his attention to the suggestive and the unnameable form an important reference for this triptych.
In Traces du céleste, botanical forms unfold in a faint light blue. Fragile references to a trace, a glimpse, to something that can only be briefly surmised.
The work consists of three panels, each constructed from a photographic print on mesh textile stretched over a wooden frame, with a fine art UV print on eco palboard behind it, mounted in a wooden floating frame.
